Anja Struck, born in 1973, studied animated film at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne and graduated in 2004 with the short film Allerleirauh. Her animated films with life-size figures have been shown at countless renowned international festivals and have won numerous awards. She has been awarded the North Rhine-Westphalia State Prize for Young Artists and the Spiridon-Neven-DuMont Prize, has received scholarships in Canada and Denmark, and was a jury member at the Clermont-Ferrant International Short Film Festival, the Dresden Film Festival and Animest Bucharest.
