A Trip Through Europe—Landscape as a Political Space: Romania
The author’s grandparents were Aromanians, a Balkan minority of nomadic shepherds without territory or written language, wandering between mountains and seas. Their story is told from the subjective point of view of the artist, who passionately reproduces in staged scenes this perpetual, tragic wandering, also full of hope and courage to live.

Alexandra Gulea
Alexandra Gulea was born in Bucharest, Romania, in 1970. After studying Fine Arts in Bucharest, she moved to France, where she graduated cum laude from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts in Paris in 1997. In 1999, she studied documentary film at the University of Television and Film in Munich. Her work as a writer, director and editor includes documentaries, feature films and experimental films.
