Slava began her film career as a teenage actor in Bulgarian features. Soon after, she did a Master's at the London Film School and delved right into her own stories. Slava’s work is often very personal, exploring the hidden crossroads of being queer in Bulgaria. Her last shorts have received numerous awards at over 100 festivals such as Locarno, Palm Springs, and Sarajevo. Alumna of the Berlinale Short Film Station, winner of the European Short Pitch and member of EFA.
