Five years ago, I stopped playing volleyball. Now, I want to play again, but I don't. When I used to play, there was an expectation to wear hotpants, but I don't want to wear them. By meeting young people who play, I'm approaching the sport again to explore others' thoughts on the dress code.

Vera Berggren Wiklund
Vera Berggren Wiklund, born and raised in Umeå, northern Sweden, currently resides in Uppsala. She pursued her education in film production at Gotlands folkhögskola from 2019 to 2020 and further specialized in documentary filmmaking and editing at Nordens folkhögskola Biskops-Arnö from 2021 to 2023. Vera is driven by her curiosity for documentary storytelling and the wish to highlight young girls through film. Her creative work explores themes such as body, friendship, dreams, and sports. Her latest short documentary, Hotpants enjoyed its international premiere at the Uppsala Short Film Festival in October 2023.
