Marija Apcevska hold BA in Film and TV Directing from FDA, Skopje and MA in Film and Media Production, NYFA, Los Angeles. Her shorts have traveled to festivals worldwide and won several awards. Bardo premiered at Berlinale Generation while her latest short, North Pole was part of Cannes Official Short Film Selection 2021. North Pole was developed at European Short Pitch 2019 where it was one of the award-winning projects. She also works in advertising and TV and is a director of the children's TV series Zoki Poki, the only TV series from North Macedonia distributed and broadcasted in Scandinavia. Currently she is working on her first feature, Spring Cleaning, selected for development at LIM Less is More 2021, Cannes Focus COPRO 2021 and Cinemed From Short to Long 2021, where it won the Moulin d'Andé residency award.
