André wants to be brave and sleep in his own room, but every night he gets up and sets off for his grandmother’s room. In the dark of his own room, the house fills with noises, and he imagines the worst. He is only protected in his grandmother’s room, where the deep sound of her snoring tells him he has come to a safe haven.

Catarina Ruivo
Catarina Ruivo was born in Coimbra, Portugal, in 1971. She studied at Lisbon’s Film and Theatre School, where she specialised in editing. She worked as an editor on a number of films. In 2004 she made her first feature film, André Valente, which premiered at the Festival del film Locarno.
