Time and time again, we come upon the realization that looking back is just as important as forging ahead: after all, isn’t the thought of a book written in the distant past; our favorite lullaby when we were children; the photograph of a beloved family member, now long gone; traditions carried from one generation to the next; the inspiration we draw from old cartoons not what makes us human, what unites us? Before the time to make new memories comes around, take a look back with us at some of our favorite short films from the 2023 festival edition.

Every year, FILMSCHOOLFEST MUNICH brings the most exciting student short films to the big screen. Young filmmakers from all over the world are given the opportunity to get to know each other and the film industry during a week full of screenings, industry events, and more.
